Action center nags can be removed completely and safely.

-----=====THE SOLUTION=====-----

Get "Take Ownership" from here http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/

right click and take ownership of c:\windows\system32\ActionCenter.DLL and c:\windows\system32\ActionCenterCPL.DLL

rename those files .bak and reboot.

All I can say is keep it up. Some professional bloggers post three or four times a day on their blogs, simply because this constant addition of new content helps them to get regular readers.

I am looking to build a new Desktop PC. One of the intended applications is to transfer Videos files from a DVR hard disk recorder to PC via S-Video output. Perhaps also to transfer VHS tapes via Composite RCA to PC. I am looking to preserve the quality of the current recordings which are not subject to copyright.

Hi all, I had some questions about streaming television with my ps3. First, I use a Vista and apparently there is a security mechanism in place (Data Exchange Protection I believe) to prevent you from streaming easily from a Vista via Media Center to the ps3. I looked online and found the folder to turn off to do that, but I'm hesitant because my computer just got messed up big time from a virus so I'd be nervous to turn something off that is a security mesaure for that kind of stuff - as far as I can tell. Has anyone done that and will it cause potential harm to my computer?
