Microsoft has released their latest operating system it is called Windows 7 RC. Perhaps most of computer users interested to try this version of Windows. Now, you can try this version of Windows 7 for free. You can use it for free until March 1st, 2010 without limitation number of download. The evaluation version is available during the July 2009.
The minimum requirements requierements for Windows 7 is:
- Ghz processor or better.
- 1 Gb RAM (32-bit versions) / 2 GB (64-bit versions)
- 16 GB hard drive (32-bit version) / 20 GB (64-bit version)
- Direct 9X VGA.
If you are not sure whether you PC supports Windows 7, before the installation process you can run Windows 7 Beta Upgrade Advisor to determine whether your hardware can run Windows 7. Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor Beta can be downloaded here for free.
Note: an Internet connection is require to run Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor Beta.
This program will analyze the compatibility of the processor, RAM, Notebook and VGA to run Windows 7. Then it will provide assistance to existing deficiencies of the computer. One thing you should know, before doing the test you are advised to install other peripherals that you use the computer like printer, scanner and others.
If your computer is eligible to run Windows 7, you can download it here. It is an ISO file. All you need to do is burn it into a DVD blank. You can use free software like Infran Recorder or other burning software to do it. You can download the portable version of Infran Recorder here.
Please note for users of Windows XP, you have to do clean install or full install not an upgrade. Because Windows 7 upgrade only support for Windows Vista SP1. Don’t forget to back up your data before performing the installation process.
